Government Reshuffles Key Positions in Finance and Commerce Ministries
Govil, a 1991-batch IAS officer from Madhya Pradesh, will be succeeded by Deepti Gaur Mukerjee,
Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi taking part in a meeting.
The BJP government led by Narendra Modi has reshuffled key positions in the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Commerce.
Manoj Govil, the outgoing Secretary of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, will become the new Expenditure Secretary, replacing TV Somanathan, who is now Cabinet Secretary.
Govil, a 1991-batch IAS officer from Madhya Pradesh, will be succeeded by Deepti Gaur Mukerjee, a 1993-batch IAS officer from MP.
Vivek Joshi, who serves as Secretary of the Department of Financial Services, is being reassigned to the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions as Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training.
.Nagraju Maddirala, a 1993-batch IAS officer from Tripura and currently Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Coal, will replace Joshi.
